   Being a new year I thought it was time to change the format or style of this newsletter. No plans, just going with the flow - it's in the Aquarian nature. So are other key words like, freedom of thought, humanitarian values, forward thinking, innovative ideas and idealism. This sign is governed by the energy and effect of the planet Uranus and also Saturn. I believe Aquarians are moving from Saturn's influence and towards Uranus' influence during this life time, and need to achieve balance between the extremes of the two planets' qualities within the one personality.

Saturn = rules, restrictions, structure, authority (father-like figure)

Uranus = change, freedom, equality, revolution  (strange friend with weird ideas)

   Balance between the two will help tone down the radical thoughts and temper them into usable ideas that can be integrated into the existing situation. Aquarius is also about sharing your knowledge and efforts (Uranus) for purely humanitarian reasons, without asking for or expecting finance or fame (Saturn). This can be a real test for many people. Everyone is experiencing the challenges and rewards of this sign while the Sun is reflecting this energy onto Earth. We need to be continually aware of our reasoning, actions and good / bad energy we give out. It will be returned by the Universe when the time is right. Saturn is also known as the Lord of Karma and Father Time.

   Why am I talking about Saturn so much when Uranus is a more popular description of the energy of Aquarians ?  Well, Saturn is the ruling planet of the sign Capricorn

and Pluto the planet of collapse and renewal, the breaking down of facades and even personal masks is in Capricorn. So while Pluto's doing his thing in the home of Saturn - throwing a little destruction towards authoritarian structures and individuals within in business and society who present a false image to the people, Saturn's off doing his thing in Libra - awareness of limitations and restrictions within relationships and how you relate, and this lord of Karma will bring reward suitable for your efforts. He's not just a bad-guy he implements balance. While this is happening, Venus the ruler of Libra and relationships is in Capricorn - Saturn's home ! Big stuff happening in love and work.

   Anyway to throw a little 'play' in the picture we have a Full Moon in Leo tonight (Saturday), which means leisure, increased confidence, relating in a way that is fun, and satisfies the mind, body and spirit. There is a natural pull between the polar opposites Aquarius and Leo, during a full moon we are often confronted with the opposite of our nature - Leo's will be concerned with the Aquarian thing and vice versa. The lunar phases and the signs the Moon will move through over the next two weeks will bring the right vibes to complete what you have started, keeping in mind the information above.

The New Moon in Aquarius is on Valentines Day Feb. 14th, this is the natural time to make positive changes. Love is in the air so it will be to do with relationships, but remember Saturn is influencing relationships. Good thing is Venus will be in Pisces so there will be compassion.
